Introduction
With the depletion of fossil fuels expected within the century, the development of new and renewable energy is emerging as a global issue directly linked to human survival. While there is an urgent need for the development of core technologies and skilled personnel with new concepts to utilize new and renewable energies—including hydrogen, solar, fuel cells, and bioenergy, which are attracting attention as next-generation sources—existing curriculums centered on traditional academic departments are unable to meet these demands.
The Department of Energy Chemical Engineering aims to foster creative personnel who will lead the next-generation energy new technology industry.
