Introduction
Environmental engineering is a discipline that develops technologies to create safe and pleasant living and natural environments. It focuses not only on traditional pollution control technologies for water, air, and soil but also on solving recent issues such as greenhouse gases, fine dust, waste, and trace pollutants.
The Environmental Engineering Major aims to cultivate environmental experts capable of solving the aforementioned environmental problems arising from industrialization and urbanization, and contributing to sustainable development. Demand for environmental engineering majors exists across various sectors, including the public sector—such as the government, local municipalities, and public enterprises—as well as the private sector, including environmental teams at large corporations and companies involved in the construction and operation of environmental infrastructure.
