Introduction
The Dept. of Physics provides a systematic education and research program capable of fostering specialized personnel in the fields of research and education who understand natural phenomena and possess application skills through theoretical and experimental education and inquiry activities regarding the fundamental principles of the natural world.
In particular, to actively respond to the demand for human resources in advanced science and technology fields required by future society, we are conducting education to foster personnel in nanoscience and technology and optoelectronics. Furthermore, we are proactively participating in educational and research activities related to convergence disciplines such as intelligent robots and solar cells to cultivate talent for Korea's new growth engines. In addition, we operate a natural science major curriculum in optoelectronics in conjunction with the Dept. of Electronic Engineering and the Dept. of Materials Engineering. The curriculum is designed to allow students to directly participate in various cutting-edge educational and research activities in these fields, and we actively support students' voluntary inquiry activities.
