Introduction
Nano-Bioengineering Major was established to cultivate expertise in nanotechnology, a foundational technology for cutting-edge science in the 21st century and for industries that generate new national growth engines. It also aims to develop highly qualified professionals who can meet industry needs and contribute to the advancement of future technologies in nanosystems and nano-bioengineering, which integrate biotechnology (BT), information technology (IT), and nanotechnology (NT).
After graduation, students may pursue advanced degrees at graduate schools in Korea or abroad or develop careers as advanced researchers at government-funded research institutes and major corporate research centers engaged in nanotechnology research. Graduates may also find employment in a wide range of high-tech and nationally strategic industries, including fine chemicals, semiconductors, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, energy, and environmental technology. As demand for professionals in nano-related industries continues to grow both in Korea and internationally, graduates have access to a broad range of career and employment opportunities.
