- A Study on Understanding and Win-Win Measures for Overseas Koreans and Overseas Koreans -

Hosted by Incheon National University (President Park Jong-tae) and co-organized by Incheon National University's Division of External cooperation, Research Institute for Local Companionship Platform and LINC3.0 Project Group, the "Forum on Understanding Overseas Koreans and Policy Issues" will be held at 3 p.m. on Monday, February 10 at the curation zone on the 4th floor of Incheon National University's Irum Hall.

In June 2023, the Overseas Koreans Agency was established in Songdo, Incheon, with the wishes of Incheon citizens, and on January 17, 2025, the forum will be held to find out the understanding of overseas Korean projects and the role of universities with the business agreement ceremony between the Overseas Korean Office and Incheon National University. Through this forum, it will be a forum for discussion on issues, current issues, and win-win measures of overseas Korean projects.

The forum will be hosted by Director Kim Dong-won (Director of External Cooperation Provost and Head of Research Institute for Local Companionship Platform), followed by a welcoming speech by Incheon National University President (Park Jong-tae) and a congratulatory speech by the Director of the Overseas Koreans Agency (Lee Sang-deok), Incheon National University Vice president Noh Young-don.

The presentation will be presented by Oh Jin-hee, a planning coordinator of the Overseas Koreans' Office, who covers the "Introduction of Overseas Koreans' Project" and the overseas Koreans' projects for many years, and Kim Yong-pil, CEO of the EKW Korean World Newspaper, will present under the theme of "Understanding Overseas Koreans and Seeking a Win-Win Plan." Lee Ki-sung, director of the Policy Bureau, Lee Min-ho, head of the Seoul branch, and Kim Jae-ki, professor of political and foreign affairs at Chonnam National University, will attend the discussion.

 Kim Dong-won (Director of External Cooperation Provost and Head of Research Institute for Local Companionship Platform) of Incheon National University's Research Institute for Local Companionship Platform, the organizer of the event, said, "This forum aims to find various roles of universities in the region, and we want to use it as an opportunity to take an integrated approach to universities that encompass multicultural issues in Incheon through issues and pending issues of overseas Koreans in Incheon."
