2024 Summer INU Global Social Contribution Team Breakdown Ceremony
Incheon National University (President Park Jong-tae) recently completed overseas volunteer work in 2024. Incheon National University dispatched the INU Global Social Contribution Team, consisting of 12 students and two leaders, to Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, from July 30 to August 12 and completed its activities on August 20.
Organized by Incheon National University's Social Service Center, the INU Global Social Contribution Group's overseas service was conducted with 12 nights and 14 days of main dispatch after a five-week pre-training period in Korea from the end of June. During the domestic education period, the dispatched group students planned volunteer activities themselves, and at the dispatched site, they presented various activities prepared for the students of Kirgiz National University and Kim Najium No. 69.
The INU Global Social Contribution Group first conducted global citizenship education, including Korean culture and environmental protection education, for college students at Kyrgiz National University, and conducted effort volunteering and cultural exchange activities such as plogging.

The reason why Incheon National University's overseas volunteer work in the summer of 2024 was special is because of various collaborations. Incheon National University's Social Service Center was selected for the Korean University Social Service Council's competition for self-developed overseas service programs and expanded student support by receiving activity expenses, and also signed a business agreement with the Bishkek Korean Education Center and Kirgiz National University to strengthen the support system for local activities.
Kim Dong-hyuk, the student leader of Incheon National University's INU Global Social Contribution Team, said, "The activities were smoother by volunteering with students from Kyrgyz National University," adding, "I was able to gain a new perspective and develop a global sense by conducting various activities with precious meetings with local people."
Park Yong-ho, head of the Incheon National University Social Service Center, said, "The summer overseas volunteer work, which was suspended due to COVID-19, has resumed after five years. We will continue our global contribution activities based on this overseas volunteer dispatch, and will fulfill our responsibilities as a base national university that contributes to the creation of public interests for the human community and the cultivation of social contribution-type talents."
