INU Great Books Center at Incheon National University Signs MOU with Gyeolmaru Future School in Incheon
Incheon National University (INU) Great Books Center (Director Hwang Seung-hyun) signed a mutual cooperation agreement with Gyeolmaru Future School (Principal Kwon Hyuk-ho) on the 22nd to promote reading education based on the “Read·Walk·Write” model.
The signing ceremony was held at Gyeolmaru Future School and attended by key representatives from both institutions, including Director Hwang Seung-hyun and Principal Kwon Hyuk-ho.
Through this agreement, the two institutions will establish a cooperative system encompassing the following areas:
Joint operation of reading education programs based on classical and great books
Development of integrated lessons and curriculum-linked programs grounded in classic texts
Implementation of training sessions and workshops to strengthen reading discussion skills for teachers and students
Director Hwang Seung-hyun of the INU Great Books Center remarked, “Deep reflection and self-examination through classic literature will elevate the quality of student-led projects and enrich students’ critical thinking. This collaboration is especially meaningful as it expands the university’s educational outreach into the local community.”
The operation of INU’s Great Books Program at Gyeolmaru Future School—Incheon’s first public alternative school, which opened in March 2025—offers students a valuable reading experience that invites them to engage in profound thought and life-related inquiry.
