The Incheon National University Samsamohoh Team (Lee Chae-rin, Department of International Trade, Northeast Asia, Department of Trade, Kim Jung-bin, Choi Woo-young, and Jeong Yeon-wook) won the Excellence Award at the '2024 18th GTEP Youth Trade Awards' held at COEX Conference Room 401 on November 26.
In this competition organized by the Korea International Trade Association, the Samsamohoh team successfully exported the shower filter of the industry-academic cooperation company Ionpolis (CEO Hwang Kyu-jin) abroad and achieved outstanding results based on its research and hands-on experience. In particular, based on a deep understanding of the changed B2B e-commerce environment in the post-COVID-19 era, various marketing strategies such as product listing, KWA keyword advertising, and live commerce were combined through the Alibaba platform. This comprehensive approach greatly contributes to maximizing the purchase conversion rate and has proven its competitiveness in the global market. "The team's enthusiasm, information acquisition, and planning skills stood out, and he is the representative team in the GTEP e-commerce field at Incheon University," said Ha Dong-ho, CEO of Dongmun I-Lab, who led the e-commerce intensive training at the end of June.
The team studied the B2B e-commerce business model in depth, applied it completely in practice, and was highly appreciated for its understanding of the core principles and trends of e-commerce. "As a result of thoroughly analyzing and strategically approaching the digital trade environment in the post-COVID era, students were able to achieve excellent results," said Lee Yuri, a GTEP professor at Incheon National University who led the team. "The achievements at this competition will serve as an opportunity for Incheon National University to further strengthen its competitiveness in the global e-commerce market."
Meanwhile, the GTEP Project Group of Incheon National University (Director Ok Woo-seok, professor of trade department) is stepping up efforts to cultivate talent to help mid-sized and small- and medium-sized companies in Incheon and Gyeonggi-do, and will actively present new challenging projects by recruiting a total of 30 new students in 2025 following this year's 18th term.
